Accounts Semi-Senior

We have a position within in our small business/freelance contracting division. Working with a team of 5 members in providing accounting and tax services for freelancers, contracting and consultancy businesses. The role will involve a broad exposure to all accounting and tax requirements for a client, for both personal and corporate matters.

Main Duties:

  • Preparation of limited company financial statements and sole trader accounts
  • Electronic submission of financial statements to Companies House
  • Preparation of corporation tax computation and company tax return
  • Electronic submission of Tax Returns to HMRC
  • Preparation or assist with Personal Tax Returns
  • Management of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks
  • Provide support to client’s day-to-day queries on their cloud-based accounting software
  • Preparing and filing of clients VAT returns
  • Reviewing client systems/records and performing tests to check client information are correct
  • Support manager and other team members with accounting and tax tasks for clients


ACA/ACCA part qualified or AAT qualified or qualified by experience.

Experience required:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working within accountancy practice.
  • Knowledge of IRIS, Xero and Freeagent preferred, but not essential.
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and Word are essential.
  • Experience of using cloud-based accountancy software.
